On a related note, am I the only one who finds the sequel shockingly easy? The first boss monster died so fast, I actually restarted the game to make sure I hadn't accidentally chosen the easier difficulty.
And the Kusari-gama...that weapon is so powerful at Level 1 that using it at all seems tantamount to cheating. Even basic combos eviscerate everything in a 25-foot radius! What does it do at Level 2, travel back in time and kill your enemies' grandparents?
I like Ninja Gaiden. The beginning. I like the whole master ninja in old Japan thing. Then wierd demons and tentacle beasts and leather clad (barely) females are introduced and I am lost.
This is not the true ninja way.
Sure it makes for a fun game but its quirky nature puts me off.
If only the developers of this game would redo Tenchu. Or GASP! Shinobi.
I've been trying that demo the released recently after getting my 360 back, for the second time, and it keeps crashing on me. I wonder if the full version will do that to my system too.

Beat the Ninja Gaiden Hurricane Pack, did you? Why, that's an achievement on par with beating Double Dragon in one life, I'd say!
I have NGII sitting here from GameFly and haven't had a chance to try it yet. Can't wait to jump into it.
Oh yeah? Well I beat up a hurricane in a ninja outfit. I accidently flooded New Orleans in the battle. Beat that!

If I knew what the Hurricane Pack was, I would be impressed. Though Ninja Gaiden II is pretty rad.

LOL, I didn't even beat Ninja Gaiden Black! I'll probably get back to it before playing NG2.
Too bad about Itagaki though :-( I really hope we hear from him soon. There isn't nearly enough blood and cleavage in games these days.

You should try the Ninja Gaiden Hurricane Pack, i hear its an accomplishment worth mentioning if you can beat it.
